Due to an increase in local COVID-19 cases, registration for 2020 youth gymnastics has been put on hold until further notice. We will update you with more information as soon as it becomes available or any decisions about future sessions are made.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Tumbling Tots (co-ed ages 3-5)
This is an introductory class designed especially for your 3, 4 or 5 year old. Your child will be introduced to the basics of gymnastics. He/she will increase small motor coordination and listening skills. We will be practicing Tumbling, balance beam, trampoline and uneven bars. Other activities will be offered including an obstacle course that has lots of fun stops along the way!
4 & 5 year old beginners (co-ed)
Learn and practice balance coordination and gross motor movement in this fun class. Children will learn the basics of gymnastics while having fun with new friends. Tumbling and small gymnastic equipment used. We will be practicing tumbling, balance beam, trampoline and uneven bars.
Girls Beginners ages 6 & up
Students are introduced to skills in a progressive manner on various pieces of apparatus including tumbling, balance beam, uneven bars, and trampoline. Girls will learn forward and backward rolls. Begin learning hand stands, cartwheels and backbends.
Girls Advanced Beginners 1
Must pass Girls Beginners 6 & up before taking this class. Must be able to perform all forward and backward rolls. Students practice in a progressive manner on various pieces of apparatus: Floor Exercise, Balance Beam, and Uneven Bars. Participants must be able to hold a handstand for 5 seconds, perform cartwheels, round offs and a back bends.
Girls Advanced Beginners 2
Must pass Girls Advanced Beginners 1 before taking this class. Students practice in a progressive manner on various pieces of apparatus: Floor Exercise, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, and more. Participants must be able to perform a backbend and come up, a backbend and kick over. On uneven bars they must be able to do a back hip pullover mount.
Girls Intermediate
Must pass Girls Advanced Beginners 2 before taking this class. Students practice in a progressive manner on various pieces of apparatus: Floor Exercise, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, and more. To take this class, girls must be able to perform all backbend skills unassisted. Must be able to perform both right and left and one handed cartwheels. Must be able to demonstrate Front overs, back walk overs and front limbers.
