Rivergreenway Trail

One of Decatur’s most popular attractions, the Rivergreenway Trail meanders along the St. Mary’s River and through Decatur for nearly 4 miles. It is a favorite attraction for bikers, skaters, walkers, and runners.The pathway links to two major city parks, American Legion Park, and Kekionga Park. The Rivergreenway trail is adjacent to the newly constructed St. Mary's Nature Preserve. Both trails provide residents open space, recreational access and views of wildlife in their natural habitat. 


Rivergreenway Trail Rules:

  • No Motorized vehicles of any kind permitted
  • All dogs must be on a leash 
  • Clean up after any pet waste
  • slower moving traffic stays to the right

St. Mary's Nature Preserve

The new nature preserve adds just less than a mile of new trails and connects to the existing Rivergreenway Trail in three places, as well as a pier overlook of the pond, and a new parking area just off Limberlost Trail in Stratton housing addition. The trail also features observation areas perfect for taking pictures of wildlife.
